Give Him Glory
Isaiah 26:1-8
In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation.
Isaiah 26:1, NLT.
Andrew knew one day God would answer his prayers. He has been through lots of challenges at work and home.
Two years ago, he lost his job and struggled to get another one. But nothing happened. In the process, he obeyed Psalm 1:3 and started a business.
The business appeared to be struggling too, but he believed God that he would make it. While waiting for the expected increase, he continued to work and worship God. One day, a businessman passed by his store and stopped over there for materials. He became a building materials supplier to a factory on the other side of town. God turned him around.
The people of Judah had gone through a lot from the hands of their oppressors. Yet, the prophet saw a bright future. He said: a time is coming when the people will sing the song of victory that God is their fortress and He gives them victory.
You see, sometimes you must praise God in advance of what you want because you know He will come to your rescue. Imagine the walls that were broken yet, they sang, we have God as our wall of salvation. Look into your life today and turn your struggles into praise because one day what you are believing God for will happen. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Praise God for the power of His word and for encouraging us through it.
- Pray for yourself and praise God for the situation you need, His touch and power to be manifested.
