Don’t Lose Hope

Psalm 119:89-91 ; Luke 7:1-10
Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89).

As we round off the month, I am aware that many of us have received several promises from the Lord that are yet to be fulfilled.  And this gives us concerns and we may be tempted to think that God is not good to us.  Friend, that is not correct. I am not making God to look good. That is not my job. He is God. He can defend Himself.

However, I have come to realize from experience that many times when God delays, He has a reason.

Sometimes, the timing is not right or what I requested is not needed. At other times, it may be because I do not have faith when I prayed initially.

It reminds me of the Centurion’s story in Luke Chapter 7.  This man believed that when Jesus spoke his servant would be healed. His servant was healed because of his faith. It confirmed that God’s word is settled and able to perform when you believed it.

I employ you today to think about your specific case and the promises that you have. Do you think it is time or could it be that you need to feed your faith more to attract the answer? Let us not lose hope and say God is not faithful.

He is a good God. He knows what He is doing. Shalom.
