Evidence of Assurance
John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
As we begin to round off on our topic, we will look at the evidence of assurance. These evidences are the things we see in our lives that bear witness to our hearts and help us know that we are indeed saved and secure in Christ Jesus.
They further help us to remain secure in our faith in Christ Jesus. These evidences include but are not limited to the following:
Confidence in our saving faith. Those who have the assurance of salvation do not habitually doubt their salvation and the experience that they have of the new birth. Why? It is because they know that they have given their hearts to the Lord and have become children of God.
The Bible says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12). Friend, if you have given your life to Christ you are saved. Your salvation should be the first evidence. It should remain with you for life.
If you believe in Him, hold on to the saving faith. May the Lord make your hearts strong in this evidence in Jesus’ Name.
Shalom.
Your Turn
- Thank God for the gift of salvation.
- Pray for the grace to hold on to the evidence of your salvation in the days to come.
- Pray for me to stand strong as I continue to publish God’s word. Thank you.
