Isaiah 35:10.

The future of the church is glorious. The future of the Lord’s people is great. The future of Jerusalem and Israel
is awesome. The Lord has planned it so. So shall it be.

Today’s prophecy is about the future. It talks about what the Lord will do, the beauty and deliverance of the Lord’s people. Friend, it is good to rest in the Lord and trust Him to perfect all that concerns us in His time. It is also good to know that God will not leave us alone even in our trials.

Because of what the Lord will do, the prophet told the people to encourage one another and wait for the Lord’s intervention. He said, “Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you” (Isaiah 35:4).

Verses 8 and 9 make understand that this prophecy is about the future. The redeemed are the only ones who walk in the highway of holiness. We must ensure that no unclean thing is found in us to be worthy of living in God’s city.

Friend, “the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away” (Isaiah 35:10). Let us stand firm in faith. Shalom.
