Testing, Testing, Testing
Judges 13:24; 14:5-20
The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him, and he ripped the lion’s jaws apart with his bare hands. He did it as easily as if it were a young goat (Judges 14: 6, NLT).
Samson began the training for what he has been anointed for. The spirit of the Lord moved on him in their neighborhood.
Through that testing, he was moved to another training section. When he told his parents he had seen a girl to marry, they
argued but the Bible says God was in it.
While on this journey, he faced a bigger test. But the anointing was there and he was ready. “At that moment the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him, and he ripped the lion’s jaws apart with his bare hands. He did it as easily as if it were a young goat. But he didn’t tell his father or mother about it” (vs. 6, NLT). He passed the test and moved on.
Friend, the anointing on us will be tested so that we can be trained. It is part of the process. Following his anointing, David
went back to the field. While there he faced lion and bear. He defeated them. When it was time to face Goliath, he recalled his experience and won.
It may be that you are in the process of training. Hold on. May be the attacks you are going through is to teach you how to pray and minister to others in future. Stand firm and win. Samson passed the test and went on to kill real men. May the Lord expand His word in your heart. Shalom.
