Stop Complaining; Start Testifying
Psalm 66:8-16
Who keeps our soul among the living, and does not allow our feet to be moved (Psalm 66:9).
The picture that comes to mind as I sat to type the words of this meditation was that of a woman praising and worshipping God in the corner of her room with her hands lifted towards heaven. It is my prayer that this picture will become real in our lives.
Friend, the attitude of complaining and murmuring is permeating the body of Christ. We are so quick to complain than to testify of the goodness of God. I was guilty too until someone encouraged me to see the goodness of God and to know that change will come to the area that I am not satisfied. Let us stop complaining and start testifying about what God is doing and has done in our lives.
Our praise will pave the way for more miracles. Complaining stifles the presence of God and delays our deliverance. Looking at verses 10-12, I seem to get the understanding that our pain and sufferings are all part of the process of bringing us into that land of promise and season of rich fulfillment. Therefore, be patient and hopeful.
Keep walking in righteousness as you wait for your deliverance. Testify about the goodness of God. Then you can boldly say: “Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul” (vs.16). Amen.
