Pray, God Will Answer

2 Kings 19:20-37
Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard’ (2 Kings 19:21).

Friend, sometimes you have to pray like King Hezekiah prayed before you see the result that you want. Some times, you may need to let God know that His reputation in your life is at stake because people have known you to be one of His followers.

King Hezekiah told God, “Now therefore, O Lord our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord God, You alone” (2 Kings

19:19). God responded.“Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard’ (2 Kings 19:21).

God sent His prophet with a word of hope for the children of Judah and His angel of death to their enemy. They were killed. That is how to win in life. You cannot continue to be timid. Call God into your situation. Do not close your mouth when you are faced with a situation of reproach or a case that is beyond you.

Even if you think you can manage or handle it, you will get a better outcome and victory with God on your side. Friend, our case is different. Let us take advantage of the love of God for us, His power and His ever ready help for us. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Thank God for this word.
  • Do you know anything that is holding you down from calling God into your situation?
  • Pray as you have been challenged by the Holy Spirit through His word.

Song: You make my life so beautiful (More of You).
