Overcome Condemnation

Romans 8:1- 5
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1, KJV).

We overcome the enemy and the voice of condemnation that speaks to us from time to time about our past sins and behavior when we know what God has done for us in Christ Jesus. This comes through continuous study of the word of God. It also comes through assurance of salvation in Christ.

The reason we can stand strong in faith without a sense of shame and condemnation is because of what Jesus did for us. He paid the price for the penalty of our sins and God was satisfied. As many as have received Him and believed the gospel has escaped corruption and condemnation.

The Bible says, “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh” (Romans 8:3).

Friend, God has accepted and justified you. No matter what happens you need to know and be assured that you are in Christ Jesus and you live in Him. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (vs.1, KJV). You have been set free to love God and serve Him. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Thank God for what He did for us in Christ Jesus.
  • Pray that you will continue to walk in the victory Jesus purchased for you.

Song:  I will give You all my worship, I will give You all      my praise.
