John 1: 6-18
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
John 1:8-9

Friend, Jesus is the true light. He gives light to all men. John the Baptist described Him as “the true Light which
gives light to every man coming into the world”. That is why He could tell the people, “I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12).

The prophet has this to say about Him and the effect of His light on men. “The people who walked in darkness have
seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined” (Isaiah 9:2).
Reading further you will see that the light referred to the Lord Jesus.

Jesus did not stop there. He went ahead to say we are lights too. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14). Friend, this is Jesus, and this is who we are in Him. Let us not be deceived by the religion of light and sound. Jesus is the true light.

The earlier we accept this truth in our heart the better we will be able to handle life situations and expose every lie
from the darkness around us. May the Lord fill your heart with divine truth and knowledge of Him in Jesus Name.
