He Is Alive
Luke 24:1-12
Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! (Luke 24:5-6, NIV).
On this Easter Sunday Morning, the song that comes to my mind is Phil Driscoll’s “He’s alive again”. For me it captures today’s Bible passage perfectly. It summarized it and makes us to know that we have a reason to celebrate our risen Savior once again. The chorus read thus: He’s alive again, stone’s been rolled away.
He’s alive again. He’s no longer where He lay.
He’s alive again. I can hear the angels say let all the
world rejoice, He’s alive!
(repeat twice)
Let the entire world rejoice He’s Alive!
When the women arrived at the tomb, they did not expect what they saw. The stone was meant to cover the entrance to the tomb but when they got there it has been rolled way. Unknown to them Jesus Christ, the Word of God has risen like He said He would. The grave could not hold Him down because the word of the Father to Him must hold.
Friend, no matter what the whole world thinks or says about Jesus Christ; let your faith stand strong. Know that His word to us about His second coming will come to pass. If He rose again over two thousand years ago, I believe He is coming back again. Let us have a double celebration today. Our expectation of His second return will be fulfilled one day. Happy Resurrection Sunday. Jesus is alive!
