I Am One Of Them
1Timothy 1:12-17
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief (1Timothy 1:15).
Reflecting on who we were and what we used to be would help us to take the time to thank the Lord and appreciate Him for all He has done for us. The Spirit of God and the life of God in us continue to transform us on a daily basis. That is why we can testify that we are His children.
Paul understood this when he wrote today’s Bible passage. He recognized that if it had not been the Lord’s mercy he could not have been saved and made a messenger of the gospel of grace. So, he said, “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief” (1 Timothy 1:15).
Friend, if you are born again then you are one of them too. I am one of them. We were all sinners saved by the grace of God and appointed by Him to become His servants so that we can share the good news with others and let them know that the power of the cross can change anyone and transform any life.
As you go out today, look for someone to share your testimony with. Point them to Jesus. Tell them why He went to the cross to die. Who knows they may decide to give their heart to Him. For us, let us celebrate His love and life in us. Shalom.
