Judges 4:11-24
Then Deborah said to Barak, ‘Now is the time for action!The Lord leads on! He has already delivered Sisera into your hand!’ (Judges 4:14, The Living Bible).

I have had the privilege of meeting men and women whom I can call spiritual and physical propellers. They have motivated me and boosted my faith to take the necessary steps to move forward. Through God’s grace and great foresight they saw what I could not see. They discerned my potentials and possibilities I was unaware of and helped me to move beyond where I was.

Deborah was one of such people in Barak’s life. By divine  inspiration, she knew the time was ripe for Barak to advance and engage the enemy in battle. She sensed the presence of Jehovah, the man of war, on the scene. She said, “Now is the time for action! The Lord leads on! He has already delivered Sisera into your hand!” (vs. 14, The Living Bible). The rest was history.

Barak advanced; God stepped in and used the men with him to fight their enemy. They won because God strengthened their hands. Sisera the powerful warrior had to flee on foot. But, God was not done; He had positioned a woman of valour, Jael, to finish what Barak and his army started. With uncommon boldness and courage she killed Sisera.
