There Is More

Proverbs 6:6-8
It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest (Proverbs 6:7-8, NIV).

The following are some of the things we need to have or do as we seek to embrace the next level in our journey of transition:

  1. Information: We live in an information age. We must get information about where we want to go. This will help us to know what we need and how to prepare. For example, it is not acceptable for any student who wants to study a course in the university not to know the prospects and the opportunities the course will bring on completion. Can you set up a business on you own after graduation?
  2. Counsel: Continue to seek counsel and talk with those  who have faced the challenge that you are facing or who could support you as you transit into the next phase of your life. Pray and ask God to lead you to such people. He will.
  3. Take the journey: The Bible says the ant, “has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest” (Proverbs 6:7-8, NIV). Because they have to prepare and take the journey. Do what you need to do. Don’t pretend to be waiting when indeed you are lazy.
  4. Vigilance: Be on the lookout for God’s movement around you. You cannot afford to miss the opportunities and the changes God may bring your way. Ruth took the journey and God helped her. She listened to counsel. God expects us to do the same.
