Are You In Transition?
Psalm 27:1-14
Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!(Psalm 27:14).
Today’s passage is one of my favorites. Yet, it is one of the passages I struggle to practice. Why? Nobody wants to wait! We want things to happen when we want it and how we want it. But sometimes, God would say you have to wait because I am working behind the scene and shifting things on your behalf that you cannot see. At other times, God may actually be waiting on us to be ready for the change that is about to happen.
My questions to you today are: Are you in transition? Are you praying and believing God for something, a healing or a change that you have not seen manifested? Are you managing the waiting time well? Below are some of the things we can do as we wait on God for our change.
1. Patience: We need patience because God’s timing may be different from ours. We need to rest in God’s faithfulness and believe He will help us as He has promised.
2. Trust: God is trustworthy and reliable. We can trust Him to answer us and bring us into a large place (See Psalm 18:19).
3. Hope: Hope is the expectation of good. Friend, you cannot afford to lose hope. If you are not hoping for anything, it means you have no faith for anything. Both must work hand in hand.
4. Positive attitude: Whining and complaining has never produced anything good. Rather, it weakens our faith and fills our heart with doubts and fear. Trust, faith and hope will deliver any day.
Your Turn
- Talk to God about your life’s struggles.
- Ask Him to show you what you need to do as you wait on Him for answer to your prayers.
Song: Blessings and honor, glory and power.
