Don’t Keep Silent

Isaiah 37: 8-35
And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord. 15 Then Hezekiah prayed to the Lord …
Isaiah 37:14-16.

As good as it is to ask our pastors, leaders and brethren to pray for us, we must learn to pray and talk to God
ourselves. Hezekiah had asked for prayer support and had spoken. But the threat continued. He did what we should do, he went before the Lord and prayed.

I love what he did in verse 14. He presented the letters to the Lord. It’s like, “Father, as I have told you before. Today, here is the evidence”. I have had stories of believers who have done this and God answered them. It is time for us to do the same.

Hezekiah prayed, “Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear all the words of
Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God … Now therefore, O Lord our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord, You alone” (Isaiah 37:17, 20). God responded. See verses 21- 38.

Let us make God our friend and father so that we can be bold to go to Him anytime we need His help. You have been given the gate pass. Make sure you use it as often as you need it. “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Shalom.
