I Am Doing It
Philippians 4:4- 8
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6, NIV).
One of my desires this year is to draw closer to the Lord and engage with His presence throughout the day. I am learning to do this by praying often throughout the day. I take prayer breaks as often as I can.
Not only that, I also practice taking my concerns to Him and ask for help with short prayers. This habit is helping me to deal with my anxiety. I started the year with waves of attacks and they seem to have persisted, but I have found solace in sharing my concerns with the Holy Spirit and trusting Him to fight my battles for me.
I am also learning to trust Him with my future and, especially with issues that bother on my children and family. I am doing it and I want you to practice it too. The Bible says, “Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved” (Psalm 55:22).
Paul advised, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6, NIV). Let us do this and we will be less prone to sorrow and anxiety. May the Lord grant you the grace to do so in Jesus’ Name.
Shalom.
