Stand in faith

Isaiah 7:1-9
The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established (Isaiah 7:9).

When the enemy came to attack King Ahaz, his heart, that of his family and the entire people of Judah failed them. The Bible says, “So his heart and the heart of his people were moved as the trees of the woods are moved with the wind” (vs. 2).

God saw their predicament and sent prophet Isaiah to them. With a word from the Lord, he assured them that the plan of the enemy would not happen. All they have to do is to stand in faith. But if they failed to do so, then they will not be established. In that case the enemy’s plan would happen.

I believe this same word is sent to us today. If we fail to obtain knowledge of who we are in Christ, what God has provided for us to live on earth and His plans for our future, we may fall prey to the attack of the enemy.

With knowledge we will stand in faith. Knowledge empowers. It emboldens. The Bible says, “Buy the truth, and do not sell it, also wisdom and instruction and understanding” (Proverbs 23:23).

The knowledge of divine truth that you have will determine your access to practical wisdom. In other words, the more you know about your covenant rights, the more information you will have to apply. Think on these things. Shalom.

Your Turn
