Your Kingdom Come

Luke 11:1-4
Father, let your name be kept holy. Let your kingdom come (Luke 11:2, God’s Word Translation).

We continue to look at the season we are in. Friend, we are in a season that we need to pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done” (Luke 11:2). It is also time to pray, “Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus.”

If we hold our lips many things would go wrong and we would have ourselves to blame. If we failed to pray we would go through unnecessary hardship and turmoil that the Lord does not want us to go through.

Friend, I also believe that we are in a season we need to pray, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” (Luke 11:4). Many things are happening and we need to be saved from the power of the evil one. We need divine protection and safety which only God can give.

We need to be persistent in prayer because the day of the Lord’s second appearing will come soon so that we can be saved from the evil that is to come. Lawlessness would abound. See Mathew 24:12. We are seeing that already. With prayers we can fast track things. Our prayer can cause many people to come to Jesus Christ.

If we pray the Lord will hasten His coming. When we fail to pray, time would not change things. It will only make it worse. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Think on the above words. Are we praying for our world as we ought? If not, we need to repent and ask for the passion to do so.
  • Ask the Lord to fan into flame a fresh fire to pray for His will to be done.

Song:  Hear my cry  O Lord, attend unto my prayer.
