Isaiah 52: 7-10
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7).

The question that comes to my mind as I read through this prophecy was: Are our feet beautiful? Why do we need beautiful feet? The prophets tell us why:

1. Those who possess beautiful feet are never overcome by the stress of life. Instead, they ride upon every mountain and overcome obstacles with the sword of the Lord in their hands and the word of God in their mouth. They know how to declare ‘thus says the Lord’ to the situation  that  confronts them and overcome.
2. They are men and women who practice what they have learned from the Lord Jesus. When Jesus faced the storm in Mark 5:34-41. He spoke to it and declared the outcome He wanted. That is what those who possess beautiful feet do.
3. They bring good news. They are encouragers. They share the bread of life with others. They preach the good news; say good and positive words to others.
4. They proclaim peace not violence. As the Father’s representatives on earth, they know they have a responsibility to create the world that they wanted with the power of their words.
5. They proclaim salvation and declare ‘the Lord reigns’ in every situation and over every nation.

Friend, I want my beautiful feet to do more for God. How about you?
