You Need A Plan

Ruth 2:2-3
… Ruth, the Moabite foreigner, said to Naomi,
“I’m going to work; I’m going out to glean among the
sheaves, following after some harvester who will treat
me kindly” (Ruth 2:2, The Message).

Continuing from where we stopped yesterday, we will look at more ways we can seek recovery and restoration following a season of distress and loss.

  1. Draw a plan for recovery. Ruth had a plan. She shared it with Naomi. Her plans included working to provide for their need. She did not wait for manna to fall from heaven. She knew she had to work.
  2. Share your dreams and plans with others. Everyone needs a dose of encouragement from time to time. We need people in our inner circle we can share our dreams, hopes and aspirations with because we know they care for us.
  3. Find a mentor. We need mentors and coaches who would help us to put things in the right perspective and guide us through our recovery. Ruth found a mentor and coach in Naomi. Her voice became invaluable for the rest of her journey.

Friend, how willing are we to plan for our recovery and breakthrough? Many times, the change we desire may not be entirely up to God. It may require that we use our minds, relationships and the networks we have to set the ball rolling. Think on these things.

Your Turn

  • Think about the ways you can apply today’s thoughts to your life.
  • Pray about your finances and plans for the next quarter.
  • Pray that Fresh Bread Daily Devotional will touch more lives. Thank you.

Song: Hosanna in the highest. Let our King be lifted high.
