Judges 6:16-24
The Lord said to him, ‘I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man’ (Judges 6:16, NLT).

Friend, you have what it takes to be what God wants you to be. You have what it takes to do what God wants you to do and excel at it. In today’s passage are some of the things Gideon had going for him and we have it too.

1. God’s presence. See vs. 16. The Lord told Gideon, “I will be with you”. Friend, with God’s presence in your life, there is nothing you cannot overcome, win over and accomplish. His presence is the gift that turns all things around. With Him in you, you will succeed.
2. An inner strength he was not aware of. See vs. 14. Wired into your make up is all that you will need. The gifts and talents that you need have been deposited in you before you were born. You may have to spend time to develop more skills but you have the raw materials.
3. He has God’s order. If God has spoken to you about anything He wants you to do, then you have His order. See vs. 14. That is an advantage. Why? God pays for what He orders and His credit remains good with many around the world.
4. God’s peace. See vs. 23-24, His peace is a confirmation that He is the One sending you.

Even though Gideon asked God for several confirmations, in the end he did what God asked him to do. God also proved that there is a man of valour in the man hiding in a cave.
