We Triumph In Him
2 Corinthians 2:14-16
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
We will continue in thanksgiving as we look at another reason that we need to thank God today. The Bible says, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14).
The word ‘triumph’ is a noun and it means “a successful ending of a struggle or contest”. It also means “exultation of victory”. As a verb it means “to express great joy”.
Relating these meanings to our focal text, it is exciting to know that no matter the struggle that we have now and the delays we may be experiencing, we know that in the end we will win. In the end of the contest we shall triumph over life’s adversity.
The New Living Translation says, “But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession”. Wherever we are and whatever challenge we may be facing, we are moving forward and towards victory not defeat. Alleluia! God will ensure we win.
Friend, as we stand firm in faith on this truth, we will experience our deliverance and the help that we need. We will become a living testimony and testify of Him to the power of God and what His grace and mercy can do. May the Lord grant you more understanding in Jesus’ Name. Shalom.
