John 3:13-21
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed ( John  3: 20).

To contend appropriately, we need to know what we have that the enemy wants to corrupt and steal from us.  Below is a highlight:

1. We have God’s best. God gave us His Son. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only   begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not  perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
2. We have eternal life. See John 5:24. This is what the enemy does not want us to have. Satan lost access to  eternal life when he was sent out of heaven. Through       redemption we took over. Now God calls us His children.
3. We will reign with Him on earth and in glory when Christ See Romans 5:17.
4. We have salvation through the appropriate means. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to  the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). This is one of  the issues in contention. For example, the perpetrators of  liberalism and modernism do not want to hear that. To them Jesus is not the only way. But that is not correct. Their  doctrinal position is not of God.
