1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Another reason we have to defend the truth is because we have been commanded to do so. We have been challenged by the Holy Scripture to fight the good fight of faith. If we don’t do it, no one else will do it. It means we want our generation to be lost in error. If this happens they will lose their bearing and faith in the only true God. God forbid. We must forbid too.

If we call to mind the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia’s definition of contend, it means “meeting of effort by effort, striving against opposition”. Friend, the enemy is not resting, we also must not rest. We must use every medium we have to teach the truth and point men to the doctrines of Christ.

The social media has been taken over and many times for ungodly purposes. We must be wise. Let us seek ways to use these tools to share the message of Christ and teach the truth. Paul told Timothy, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses”(1 Timothy 6:12).

We have been taught the truth; we know the truth, let us use it.
