Trouble In The Land

Isaiah 22:1-14
You also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, nor did you have respect for Him who fashioned it long ago.
Isaiah 22:11

Proverbs 3: 5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths”. This word holds true in the portion of the Scripture we read today.

Yes, the people are in time of trouble. Yes, they mapped out their strategy and the way to manage the crisis, but God says, “They did not consult Me. It is good to have to plan and seek for ways to block the enemy from entering the land, but you have failed to seek My face. You have not asked Me for help or direction”.

We were further told, “You also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, nor did you have respect for Him who fashioned it long ago” (Isaiah 22:11). This neglect may attract divine sanctions. May we not be like this people. Let us acknowledge the Lord in all our ways and seek His wisdom daily.

Remember, the horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory comes from the Lord. Let the Lord lead us all. Keep Him at the center of everything, you will be at peace. Shalom.

Your Turn
