There Is Hope In Your Future
Jeremiah 31: 15-20
“There is hope for your future,” says the Lord. Your children will come again to their own land (Jeremiah 31:17, NLT).
It is easy to read the account of Job’s trial and what he went through than to imagine going through it. Yet, through his life we understood the need to have hope in the face of adversity and to trust God to bring our calamities to an end.
Although he was unaware of the heavenly interlude that took place between God and satan, Job hoped in the Lord. He believed that his latter days would be better than his beginning. He believed there was hope for him. See Job 14:7; 8:7.
Job had faith and expected God’s visitation. In the same manner, God spoke through prophet Jeremiah. He promised hope in Israel’s future. Friend, there is hope in our future too. Let us not allow our present pain, the challenge of the economic situation and the ongoing recession to keep us down. God will visit us and our lives will be beautiful again. You will have a job and your businesses will blossom again.
Let us continue to pray for God’s forgiveness and mercy. God will visit our nation. Because of us, there will be restoration and we will say, “For the Lord is good and His mercies endure forever”. There is hope in our future. Hold on to this word.
Shalom.
