The Way To Serve (2)
2 Corinthians 6:3-10
We give no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our service may not be blamed (2 Corinthians 6:3, World English Bible).
As believers no matter our vocation in life, let us endeavor to be men and women of the faith that we confess through our words and actions.
Paul told the Corinthians, “We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed” (2 Corinthians 6:3). This must be our goal too. We must not be trouble makers. We must not bring dishonor to the name of the Lord and His way.
We are to be men and women who choose to endure hardships and insults from the opposition. We must be willing to fight spiritual warfare in the name of the Lord. See Psalm 118:6-10; Ephesians 6:10-18.
We must stand firm for the truth and live it “by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left”. (2 Corinthians 6: 6-7).
Let us seek to be God pleasers. I know the Lord will help us and honor us as we do these. I believe this is the way to serve God and our world. May the Lord bless us as we seek His grace to be who He wants us to be in Jesus’ Name. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Pray as you are led.
- Pray that your light will continue to shine for God in a dark world.
