The Way To Serve (1)

1 Thessalonians 2:10-12
You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed (1 Thessalonians 2:10).

Today’s passage reveals what God expects of us. It shows the qualities of a good ministry in the body of Christ. From the passage, I understood that:

  1. We must be men and women of integrity. We must pursue holiness and be blameless in our conduct within and outside the church. Paul writes, “You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed” (1 Thessalonians 2:10-12).
  2. Our work must focus on providing care, encouragement and comfort for the people of God. “Encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory” (1 Thessalonians 2:12).
  3. We must promote and urge one another to live lives that are worthy of God’s praise so that His kingdom will be respected amongst the heathen.

Let us take time to think on these things and pray for the grace to produce these qualities in our lives. Shalom.
