The Psalm Of The Year
Psalm 91:1-16
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress my God, in Him I will trust”(Psalm 91:2).
Sometimes last year, the Lord laid it on my heart the need for us to hold on tocertain portion of the book of psalms because we will need them as we walk through this year. We must know them to claim the blessings in them. We will also need them to serve as a pattern to guide our prayer time.
In view of this, the psalm of the year is Psalm 91. This is the year of abiding in Christ. Whosoever is not rooted in Him and fails to dwell under the shadow of His wings, will expose themselves to strange attacks of the enemy beyond measure.
However, those who will heed this word and respond to it will rejoice and enjoy the benefits in the psalm. Remember, your knowledge of abiding in God and understanding of the covenants in it, will determine the level of your faith, confidence and peace.
Friend, knowing you dwell in God’s presence always will affect the way you speak, think and act. It will also inform
where you go, what you do and how you do it. You know God loves you and you want to please Him. Let us learn from Him and live as He wants us to live.
How willing are you to say He is your Redeemer? How willing are you to live in the light of this truth? The Lord has
spoken, who will heed it? Let us pray.
