Isaiah 4:1-6
The Lord will create a cloud of smoke during the day and a glowing flame of fire during the night over the
whole area of Mount Zion and over the assembly.

I love to read future prophecies in the Bible because it reveals the promises I can claim in my time and the ones I
can look forward to in the future. Today’s prophecies are one of such. It has both immediate and future application.
The Bible says, “In that day the Branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious; and the fruit of the earth shall be
excellent and appealing for those of Israel who have escaped” (Isaiah 4:2). This verse speaks of a day that is to
come.

A day that is far from the time of judgment that the prophet Isaiah talked about. It is the time of restoration when Israel would have been restored to its land again. This is already happening. The Lord will do more. Israel will become a place of beauty and the church will also become a place of beauty. The branch of the Lord Jesus Christ and his church will also be made beautiful and glorious.

On a personal level, we can claim these promises too. We can ask the Lord to make our lives beautiful and glorious.
We can ask the Lord to do what He promised in verses 4-5 in our lives. The Lord will be our covering and create the cloud of smoke by day and the flaming fire by night around us. Shalom.
