The Lord Be With You

2 Thessalonians 3:16- 18
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The
Lord be with all of you (2 Thessalonians 3:16, NIV).

Today we will look at another prayer that Paul added, “The Lord be with all of you”.  When God is with us everything good can and will happen because His presence gives us access to all that He is and has.

When we have God, we have nothing to fear. Jesus confirmed our need of His presence when He said in the following verses: “And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

“I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18).

David expressed his desire for God’s presence when he writes in Psalm 16:8-11,

“I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope…

11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore”.

Friend, my prayer for you is that may the God of peace surround you with His presence so that you will continue to walk in confidence in Him at all times. May the Lord encourage your heart with these words. Shalom.
