The All-Knowing God

Genesis 15:13-21; Isaiah 40:13-14
Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. (Genesis 15:15).

Prophet Isaiah said, “Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor?” (Isaiah 40:13). Our God is the all-knowing God. That is why, I call Him the ‘global’ God. He sees and knows our tomorrow. We cannot run from Him and His presence. See Psalm 139.

Friend, let us stand in awe of this God. Whenever I read about God foretelling something and it came to pass, I appreciate Him the more. Anytime I see a promise fulfilled in the life of someone or in my life, I worship Him as the trustworthy One.

When God told Abraham about his children up to the fourth generation and what would happen to them while he had no children, I knew only God can do it. It is awesome to know that we serve a God who is powerful. It is great to know that we have a God in whom our future and posterity is secure.  That is why I love Him.

When He says all will be well with my children, I believe Him because He has done it before. What God told Abraham came to pass. The Israelites were in Egypt as foretold. They left after 430 years of captivity. Their captors were punished as planned.

Friend, let us trust God with our lives. He is good, and His word is truth. Shalom.
