Teach Me Your Ways

Psalm 25: 1-15; 103: 7
He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel (Psalm 103:7).

The psalmist says, “He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel (Psalm 103:7).  It means that God has a way of doing things. Many times all we see are His acts but some men have come to understand the difference between His ways and His acts. I think what we need is the understanding of His ways then we can predict how He acts.

This reminds me of the story of the ruler in Matthew 9:1825. This man knew that his daughter was dead but because he understood the way of Jesus having heard about Him, he told Him “my daughter is dead but come and heal her”. Jesus followed him and raised his daughter to life.

The Centurion in Luke Chapter 8 understood the ways of God too. He told Jesus, “I do not need your acts because I know the way you work. Speak the word; the work of acts will be done by Your spoken word”. Jesus was amazed. In the end, his servant was healed.

Friend, I am becoming concerned because I feel we are not reaping the benefit of our inheritance in Christ as we ought to. We seem to be laid back in our generation, yet there is more in God for us if we will hunger and thirst for it. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Pray and ask God to teach you His ways.
  • Pray that you will receive this word and you will seek after God to know Him more.

Song:  Yes, You are the Lord, most high.
