Matthew 24: 1-14
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places (Matthew 24:7).

I sense in my heart that as we progress in the year, there will be several visitations of God’s judgments. I call them warning visitations. These are signs. They are not the main things that would happen in the end.

As predicted by the Lord Jesus, these occurrences are just signs meant to serve as a wakeup call for us. They are meant to shake us to know if we will seek the true God or we would continue in our ways like the people in the book of Judges.

Friend, many of these wars, famines and earthquakes will be termed natural disasters but we must not be blind.  As believers, we must be alert and continue to plead the blood of Jesus on ourselves and family as we go out so that we could be safe.  We also need to pray and ask the Lord for His mercy. We live here and our prayers can make a difference.

Natural disasters must not be taken as human error or ordinary seismic movement. Rather, we must be alert and continue to pray. The Lord will use us to continue to be salt and light in our world. Remember, evil and disaster reigns where there is darkness. Let Him that has an ear, hear what the spirit is saying to us. Shalom.
