Separation And Reward

Malachi 3:14-18
You have said, ‘It is useless to serve God; what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, and that we have walked as mourners before the Lord of hosts?’ (Malachi 3:14).

Many times our heart grows weary and we feel like giving up. Please, do not give up on God. Your reward is coming. Jesus has promised, “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last” (Revelation 22:12-13).

The people of Malachi’s day complained saying it was useless to serve the Lord. They noticed that unbelievers got away with a lot of misdeeds but they were not punished. Many prospered through such endeavors.

God heard them and responded. He told them one day He would separate the godly from the ungodly and reward them. “And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name” (Malachi 3:16).

God further promised, “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him” (Malachi 3:17). God will remember you. Do not give up. He is about to make a distinction between those who serve Him and those who are not serving Him. Keep hope alive. You will not miss your reward. Shalom.
