Seek A Fresh Revelation
2 Kings 3: 1-19
But Jehoshaphat said, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?”(2 Kings 3: 11).
ursue a fresh revelation through the word of God and you are on your way to receiving an open heaven. A
desire for fresh word and light will attract heaven’s attention.
Therefore, if God has moved let us not remain where He has been. Let us seek to discern the sound of His movement to know where He is now. Then we can follow Him. This calls for a fresh revelation. It means we must be hungry for His presence and desire to be led, to know where He is now and what He wants us to do.
God feeds the hungry and when He does, He reveals Himself to them. It is a fresh revelation that would kindle a fresh fire and passion for Him in our heart. Be keen to know what He is doing right now and where He is. That is why prophetic utterances have been scarce in our midst because we are not hungry to know more.
King Jehoshaphat knew that except they had a fresh revelation from the Lord, the heaven would not be open to them. If care is not taken, they may lose the battle. He asked, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?” (2 Kings 3: 11). It will not be different in our time! Shalom.
