Season Of Planting
Ecclesiastes 11:1-6
Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, for you do not know what evil will be on the earth (Ecclesiastes 11:2).
Friend, it is the season of planting. It is a season we need to sow our seeds and trust the Lord for the increase. It is not the time to fold our hands and watch. In the time of famine, Isaac sowed in the land. When the enemy contended with him, he continued to dig until he got to Rehoboth.
Let us not be lazy and dull of ideas. It is time to take action. It is time to accept responsibility and do something with whatever we have. As an individual, God has given you talents; think of how you can use them.
God has given you several opportunities to mentor others around you, take the time and plan to see how you can invest in the next generation. Why? You do not know if the man or woman you will invest in today will save your life or that of your children in the future. Life is dynamic. It is also unpredictable.
Whatever you can do now, do it because the windows of opportunity may not last forever. The Bible says, “Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, for you do not know what evil will be on the earth” (Ecclesiastes 11:2). That is the attitude of winners and the persistent ones. Go the extra mile to do more. God will surprise you. Shalom.
