Rebrand Your Life

Ruth 2:2-3
So she went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvesters. As it turned out, she was working in a field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelek (Ruth 2:3, NIV).

The Bible says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.”(Psalm 37:23-24). However, for this to happen the good man, that is the one who is righteous through the blood of the Lamb, must believe that his steps will be ordered and God would lead him. The good man must also be ready to obey instructions and step out in faith.

We were not told how long it was before Ruth approached Naomi and made the request in verse 2. But I believe it was not too long from the time of their arrival. They have to eat and perhaps pay
their rent. Ruth was no longer willing to stay at home and do nothing. She chose to do something about it. Her decision led her on the path to destiny.

Ruth had accepted the disruption life’s challenges had brought into her life, and she was ready to pick her pieces. In other words, she was ready to rebrand and rebuild her life in a new country.
She would not let life keep her in the dark. She said, “Please let me go to the field… So she went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvesters” (Ruth 2:2-3, NIV). That is the attitude of someone who is willing to embrace change and move on. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • When you are faced with similar situations, how willing are you to take courage and look for ways to move on?
  • Do we blame others for our problems and accept the situations or we look for ways to come out of them?
  • Pray for yourself.

Song: God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
