2 Thessalonians 3:1- 5
Pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored… pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2, NIV).

Sometimes, I find it easier to pray when someone gives me a prayer point or I have a prayer focus. Although, I will rely on the Holy Spirit to help me, at least I have a place to start. See Romans 8:26.

This is what Apostle Paul did in the passage we read. He told the Thessalonians, “Pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith” (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2, NIV). This is what we will pray for today and more:

1. Pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ that is being preached around the world will spread, be   received and honored. Pray for missionaries,   pastors, evangelists and ministers of the gospel. The  message of Christ needs to be spread so that the  unsaved can be saved. It prospered with the   Thessalonians; it prospered with us. We were   Others need to hear it and prosper with it.
2. Pray for deliverance from wicked and evil people. Why? Not everyone has faith or believes in Jesus the way we do. We need deliverance from the power of bitterness, hatred and resentment. We need deliverance from traps and the gimmicks of men. We need deliverance from sin.

The Lord will hear us. Amen.
