Our Position As Believers

Micah 7:1-7
But I trust the Lord God to save me, and I will wait for Him to answer my prayer.
Micah 7:7, CEV.

Today’s passage reveals the extent of corruption and wickedness in Israel. It details how sin has wasted the whole system from family to the judiciary, leadership and governance. Prophet Isaiah saw the same evil in the land and
spoke against it. Micah added his voice too.

The same thing is happening in our time. Reading the chapter further, Prophet Micah showed us what believers need to do in times like this. He writes, “But I trust the Lord God to save me, and I will wait for Him to answer my prayer” (Micah 7:7, CEV).

Friend, as believers, we must take the position of faith and do the following:
1. Turn to the Lord and repent of our sins.
2. Pray and ask Him to save us.
3. Hold on in faith, believing that the Lord will hear and answer our prayers for our nation.
4. Believe God to do what is right and judge the wicked.
5. Be a voice to the voiceless and fight for the weak.

May the Lord help us to do the above. May His Spirit empower us to live right and stand firm for what is right in
Jesus Name. Remember, we are to rise and shine so that the glory of the Lord upon us can be seen by all men. See Isaiah 61:1. Shalom.
