On Which Path Are You?
Hosea 14:9
The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall (Hosea 14:9b, NLT).
Friend, which paths are you treading? Are you walking in the paths of the Lord or you are walking in the paths of sinners? The Bible says, “The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them” (Hosea 14:9b, NLT).
We need to consider our ways to be sure that we are following the Lord. The Scripture makes it clear that the blessing of the Lord follows the man who walks in the paths of the Lord. “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful” (Psalm 1:1).
To show that we are wise and that we are men of understanding, we must submit ourselves to pleasing the Lord and obeying His word. God leads us in the path of righteousness at all time. But the decision to follow is ours. That is why we must consciously ponder our ways and decide to follow the paths that lead to life and not death.
When we fail to do this, we will walk in the paths of sinners and stumble. Not only that, we will experience situations the Lord did not plan for us to walk in. Demonstrate your discernment; walk in the way of the Lord. Shalom.
