My Foundation Is In God

Psalm 11
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3).

Friend, my foundation is in God, therefore, I cannot be destroyed. My righteousness is from God; therefore, I cannot
be humiliated, disgraced, or run out of town. How about you?

Until you begin to say and declare who you are in God, the enemy will continue to harass you. Until you learn how to open your mouth wide and declare the covenant you are standing on, the enemy will continue to steal your confidence and make you feel like you are a nobody. Yet, you are somebody- a child of God.

The psalmist says, “In the Lord I put my trust; how can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”? (Psalm 11:1). He knew who he was, whose he is and in whom his trust is. He refused to flee because he knows what God can do when He shows up on his behalf. That is why he was bold.

Our foundations, the values, beliefs and principles that we stand on, if they are not in Christ will crumble. Only the foundations initiated in God will stand. This month, I implore you to make Jesus Christ your firm foundation. Build your life upon Christ, the solid rock.

When you do, you will not be shaken. You will stand firm and the enemy’s plan to shake you will be thwarted. This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be unto Him. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Is Christ your firm foundation? Are you standing secure in Him?
  • Talk to God. Ask Him to keep you secure and confident in Him.

Song: Jesus, You are my firm Foundation.
