Many Have Done It
Joshua 2:1-24
Then she said, “According to your words, so be it.” And she sent them away, and they departed. And she bound the scarlet cord in the window.
Joshua 2:21.
Friend, many faithful followers of Jehovah have taken risks in the past and we must be willing to join them. Only
risk takers attract the favor of God. Look at the following:
Rahab took a risk to hide the two spies on her rooftop. What if she was discovered? Your guess is as good as mine. But you know what? As a result of the risk she took, she was saved with her family when Jericho was destroyed (Joshua 2&3). She ended in the lineage of Jesus Christ.
Blind Bartimaeus took a risk. He shouted and got Jesus’ attention. What if Jesus took no notice of him? He shouted
anyway and regained his sight. The Israelites and Moses took a risk by stepping into the Red Sea, trusting the word of God. It was the most dangerous risk to take. They did and the records are there for us to read. See Exodus 14.
The three Hebrew men we read about today were not stupid. They knew the risk and were willing to take it for the sake of His Name. It paid off. Jesus appeared as the fourth man in the fire and they were delivered. See Daniel 3.
God will reward our faith when it is based on His word and promises to us. Every risk you take will attract God’s
attention. It is your turn for a testimony. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Ask God to show you the risk to take to receive your miracle.
- Pray for the grace to be bold to step out.
Song: My Jesus, my Savior, Lord there is none like You.
