Look To The Game Changer
John 20:14-18
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'” (John 20:17).
Jesus is not only the Savior of the world; He is also the game changer. His death and resurrection gave me access to the Father and I became the daughter of God. Did you hear that? I am God’s daughter not the daughter of the Nigerian or American President, but that of God, the owner of everything. Think about what this means to you in every area of your life.
Knowing what His death has accomplished and the importance of making this known to Mary, Jesus told her, “Go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God”. What this means is that Jesus’ death and sacrifice on the cross was enough for our salvation and redemption from the power of sin, eternal death and separation from God.
Friend, as we march into the “ember” months of this year, keep in your mind that you have the game changer as your brother. Jesus has given you access to the Father, God. You can call Him
at any time. If you need help, provision, healing, call Him. He is your father. He is not just the God of the universe, you are His child.
No matter what the remaining four months of the year hold for you, you will win because you have the Father and the Son on your side. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Thank God for this powerful word of encouragement.
