Lift Up Your Heads
Psalm 24: 7-10
Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you age-abiding doors, that the King of glory may come in. (Psalm 24:4, Amplified Bible Classic Edition).
I
love the way the Amplified Bible Classic Edition presents our focal text. It reads thus: “Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you age-abiding doors, that the King of glory may come in” (Psalm 24:4, AMPC).
Friend, there are age-abiding doors that we want God to open so that we can move to the next level. These doors or gates are obstacles and hindrances, but the word of the Lord has come to us. It has commanded that they must be open and lifted out of the way so that the God of glory may come in and release our blessing to us.
The New Century Version commands, “Open up, you gates. Open wide, you aged doors and the glorious King will come in” (Psalm 24:7). Friend, it is time to pray and command that these gates be open. It is time to command the aged doors to open wide so that your deliverance can be executed by the Lord.
We are God’s anointed. See Isaiah 45:1-2. We cannot afford to be caged, limited and stagnated by the enemy and his agents. Let us fight for our destiny. It is time to rise up. Pray for your church and nation. Let the aged-doors of sin, sickness and idolatry be lifted. Stand firm and take authority in Jesus’ Name. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Thank God for the opportunity to pray. Ask the Holy Sipirt to open your eyes to see the aged-doors that are blocking your destiny.
- Take authority over them. Command them to be lifted in the name of Jesus.
Song: There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain.
