Let Us Pray

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12; Colossians 1:9-11
We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Thessalonians 1:12, NIV).

Today, we will pray for one another. We will follow Paul’s example to thank God for our lives and pray for grace to live a life that glorifies God.

The Apostle writes, “We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 1:12, NIV). In another place Jesus said, “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples” (John 15:8).

Put together, God’s glory should be our ultimate goal. Glorifying Him with our lives, talents, skills and gifts should be our desire. Let us pray.

  1. Thank God for the opportunity to pray for one
  2. Thank God for the gift of salvation and the privilege of knowing Him.
  3. Thank God for the grace He has given to believers who currently face persecution around the world.
  4. Pray for the comfort of the Holy Spirit for every one of
  5. Pray and ask that the name of Jesus will be glorified at all times in our lives.
  6. Pray that God will count us worthy of His calling to know            and serve Him.
  7. Pray for power to do more acts of faith in His Name.
  8. Thank Him for answered prayers.
