Let Them Gather

Judges 6: 33-35
Soon afterward the armies of Midian, Amalek, and the people of the east formed an alliance against Israel and crossed the Jordan, camping in the valley of Jezreel (Judges 6:33, NLT).

Isaiah 54: 15 says, “If any nation comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them. Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat” (NLT). If the gathering is not of Him, they will scatter. If He is the One who called them to gather, as He did in the days of Barak, He has guaranteed our victory. No need to fear, their gathering will not harm us.

Friend, have you noticed that as soon as God opens a door of breakthrough in one area, the enemy will attack us in another area. When we get a promotion or our children get admission into school, that is when the enemy will attack our health or finances so that our faith would be shaken. The enemy is a trickster.

The Midianites and their allies did not gather before this time. But as soon as God commissioned Gideon, they came together to attack. Gleaning from the passage we read and other cases like that of David and Samson, when you see such attacks, it is evident that you have what it takes to fight and win.

Friend, God has prepared you. If they gather, God is on your side. His Spirit in you, the blood of the Lamb and His word in your mouth is what you need to win and be victorious. The same God who helped the fathers of faith will help us. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Praise the Lord for many victories He has wrought in your life.
  • Ask Him to scatter every gathering that He has not ordered.
