It Is Not About Us
Luke 10: 1-16
Anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me (Luke 10:16, NLT).
Friend, as we round off this quarter and look to the Lord for what lies ahead of us in the next half of the year, I encourage us to keep preaching the good news of the kingdom to the people. We must not lose hope or give up on the idea of sharing the gospel with everyone we meet.
We must preach with faith and expectation that the people will receive the word and give attention to it. We have to preach and trust God to open their hearts and minds to receive the good news of the kingdom.
If we are rejected or the message we bring is rejected, we should not feel bad because it is not about us. It is about Him. We are not the ones being rejected. We have done our part and the outcome lies between God and the recipient of the message. This lifts the load from our heart and frees us from the fear of rejection. It also helps us to be bold to share with love and passion.
Many times we may not see the result immediately, sooner or later the seed will germinate because Jesus Christ, the plower, will visit them and help them to understand and believe in Him. Do not
allow what you see and hear to discourage you. Many people are receiving the good news about Jesus in this hour. There will be surprises in heaven. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Ask for the grace to be more bold and loving in sharing our faith with others.
- Pray that your local church will rekindle its commitment to evangelism.
- Pray about your other needs.
