I Love The Lord

Psalm 116:1-19
I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications (vs. 1).

The Bible says, “I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications” (Psalm 116:1). Friend, I love this psalm; I love it for the quality of the writing and the depth of thoughts reflected in it.

The question on my mind as I read through it is: Has the Lord inclined His ears to us? Have we prayed this year and the Lord answered any of our prayers? Can we remember any time we were in a tight corner and the Lord saved us? If yes, we need to thank Him for it. A grateful heart will attract favor and blessings.

One of the challenges we have and may continue to have is, we are an attention-deficient generation. We never take time to think in order to see and appreciate what the Lord has done for us. We continue to ask but we never take time to say thank you.

We want more but we never take time to enjoy what we already have. We complain and murmur, but never take time to see that we are better than many people around us. Today, I challenge you to pause and think.

Praise God for what He has done. Those who appreciate God never depreciate. They continue to call on Him and the cycle of blessing continues. Shalom.
