Hope For The Future
Isaiah 29:17-24
The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 29:19.
Anywhere I am, I always look for recovery and restoration because I believe in a God who specializes in both. I
believe in a God who will not remain angry forever. I believe in God who always look for ways to take us back home. Like the prodigal son’s father, I know that God does not give up on us. Hence, the joy to read this portion of scriptures.
The passage gives us hope that God will cause us to smile again. The Bible says, “Soon and it will not be very long the forests of Lebanon will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops” (Isaiah 29:19, NLT). Good things will happen. The deaf and the blind will begin to function the way they were meant to function. Hallelujah!
Our God further promises, “The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 29:19). Friend, the poor cannot rejoice if their needs were not been met by the Lord. It means the fruitfulness and increase that will happen will affect a lot of the poor too.
Another good news is that: Those who pervert justice and set traps for the innocent will be handled by the Lord. Let us look forward to this day, as we keep our garments white and continue to seek the Lord in faith. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Pray for yourself as you are led by the Holy Spirit.
- Pray about your needs.
- Pray for me and my family to hunger for more of God in our hearts. Thank you.
Song: He loves me I cannot tell why.
